The only thing the elves want for Christmas this year is an addition for the Ainsworth Public Library! I’m sure that many of you have fond memories of visiting the Ainsworth Library. Remember the excitement you felt when you found that special book to read? Today’s children feel the same way. They look forward to visiting the library and using all of its services such as computers, puppets, puzzles, and movies, along with reading materials of all types. Many adults still feel that way about using the library. The love of libraries and reading is a wonderful thing! We encourage you to visit the Ainsworth Library; we would be glad to give you a tour of our facility!
During the last several years we have worked very hard to raise money for a new addition to the Library. We have a very active library, but unfortunately we have outgrown our current building. We have raised $135,703 of the $199,000 needed to complete this project, all without tax funds. We have been awarded a USDA grant in the amount of $68,700, however, we still need $59,576 before we can utilize these funds. We would like to start the construction phase this spring, but we really need your help! We have included a brochure with the addition plans so you can see what we are working towards.
